Cathedral Life

Fellowship & Hospitality

We are a faith community, a church family of fellowship and hospitality. We tend the church, and tend each other.

Each and all of these contribute to the sense of Home we share in Gethsemane:

  • Coffee between services
  • Stewardship Brunch
  • Shrove Tuesday Pancakes
  • Greening of the Cathedral and Plundering of the Greenery
  • Annual Meeting Brunch
  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Parent’s Night out

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers”(Galatians 6:10)

Community Service

Spreading the Gospel. Tending the Kingdom
We share and celebrate the Good News by word and example as we go about our daily tasks. Bearing our own witness in our relationships with those beyond our community. By living a sacred obligation to share the bounty each of us has received

  • Salvation Army Meals
  • Churches United for the Homeless
  • Episcopal Relief and Development
  • Alcoholics Anonymous
  • Boy & Girl Scouts
  • “Faith Communities Alive”
  • Use of our Sacred Space for Outside Events (musical performances, recitals)
  • Eucharistic Visitors
  • Daughters of the King
  • Healing Service

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”(Matthew 28:19)

Pastoral Care

Care and guidance of our parish family
Pastoral care is an incarnation of love and hope by caring for one another during life’s journey in times of crisis and hardship as well as joy and celebration.

Leadership Opportunity: Deacon

“If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.””(1 Corinthians 12:26-27)
